Dr. Curtis Kleinman

Spanish Faculty Chair-Yavapai College
To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter with regard to Mr. Jonah Fontenot. I am a faculty member at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona and have known Jonah since he became a member of the church congregation over which I preside as Bishop in February 2017.

Concerning personal security knowledge, Jonah’s experience and background are exemplary. Being ex-military, Mr. Fontenot’s mind naturally gravitates toward the personal security industry. When Jonah enters a room, his eyes are immediately drawn to take in his surroundings. He quickly marks the exits, taking special note of the nearest one and he considers any potential threats. His mind seems to work this way and when I asked him why, he reminded me of his training and experience.

In addition to his excellent training in the military, Jonah has attended intensive body guard training. This specialized training makes Jonah especially suited to protect clients against personal threats in many diverse environments. Recently, Jonah has served in a consultancy role for our church. As threats, both foreign and domestic, loom ever-closer here in the U.S., Jonah has helped guide church leaders as a security consultant. His safety acumen has proved invaluable for us as we make decisions about how we can protect our church members in the event of an active shooter, widespread fire, catastrophic weather, or other tragedy. His advice has been timely, articulate, and accurate.

In addition to Mr. Fontenot’s security background, the most pleasurable aspect of working with Jonah is his pleasant and professional demeanor. In all my dealings with Jonah, he has been a joy to be around. Despite the serious nature of his expertise, Jonah is able to present himself in a professional and cheery manner, and he approaches even difficult circumstances with an air of calm. This equanimity in the face of danger connotes confidence to all with whom Jonah works and helps to diffuse a feeling of security and safety to an entire group, even in difficult situations. You get a feeling that “everything is going to turn out okay, we got our best people on it” when you have Jonah among your ranks. It’s a comforting feeling when you or a group is faced with adversity.

In summary, Mr. Jonah Fontenot is highly knowledgeable and professional, and his professionalism and personable integrity make working with him a joy. I highly recommend him now to you, without hesitation.

Store Manager - Thai Cafe
During summer of year 2016, US President Trump was campaiging in our home town of Prescott Valley Arizona. His campaign event brought over 20,000 people including many rioters trying to disrupt his rally. The riorters had a history of extreme violence including destroying businesses. I was the manager of a restaurant two blocks from the campaign rally.

When we were at the restaurant learning abou the upcoming rally, we consulted Jonah Fontenot for safety and security advice. Jonah Fontenot helped us establish a disater plan including a procedure to quickly secure our restaurant and safely evacuate our customesr without causing panic.

He also advised in escape plans and personal defense and medical care in case we were caught by surprise.

His careful planning as well as repeated rehersal with us made us much more comfortable and the information he shared with us enabled the store owner to make informed executive decisions to keep everyone safe.

Prior Student
My name is Tracy Jason Brauer de Oliveira, and I was born and raised in Brazil. In the year 2013 I moved up the US, and while my situation was somewhat precarious in the beginning, I met Jonah shortly after having moved to Arizona. He decided he wanted to train me for a possible military career in the future. The training we conducted included Physical Fitness, Weapons Fundamentals (Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun), Proper Stances for Shooting, Room Clearing, Communication, General Awareness in a Hostile Enviornment, and some basic basic weapon disarms.

The training lasted well over 3 months, usually every weekend we both had available, and I can honestly say that it changed my perspective on a lot of things, and has ultimately made me a better person. Due to this training I'd receive from him, in 2015 when I returned to Brazil, I was able to apply the skills I'd learned in everyday life, due the the dangerous nature of the country. I've evaded numerous encounters, and gotten out of some nasty ones thanks to his training. In 2017 I enlisted in the US Army, and graduated Infantry School at Ft.Benning, GA, and was able to accuartely replicate nearly everything I'd learned years prior. Though it was long ago, I still carry the lessons I'd learned from him with me to this day, and I would really encourage anyone who wants to learn what he has to offer to do so. Jonah is relable and trustworthy person, and if I could go back and do it again, I would.
